Oreo Turkey Cookies
1 (16-ounce) package cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies
1/4 cup red cinnamon candies
1 1/4 cups malted milk balls
1 (16-ounce) container ready-to-spread chocolate frosting
1 (9 1/2-ounce) package candy corn
Separate each cookie carefully, leaving cream filling on one side; set cookie halves without filling aside.
Make a turkey body by attaching a cinnamon candy (for turkey head) to each malted milk ball (turkey body) with a dab of chocolate frosting. Attach a turkey body to center of each cookie half with cream filling using a dab of chocolate frosting.
Spread chocolate frosting on the inside of each cookie half that does not have cream filling. For the turkey tail, arrange candy corn on chocolate-frosting cookies with wide end of candy along outer edge. Attach each turkey tail behind a turkey body using chocolate frosting. Store assembled turkeys in the refrigerator.

It’s Fall Y’all!
October was a blast. Book signings in Florida and Alabama, and on the 18th, I made a surprise visit to a book club in River Ridge, LA. I truly enjoyed spending time with the members of Wine, Women and Words. Hostess Tricia France, created an authentic New Orleans meal, including, “Welcome to the Garden Club” almond tea.
😊 The Silver Fox, aka Mike Tilbury seemed to really enjoy the homemade bread pudding.

David Gooch, Galatioire family member, is a big fan of “Welcome to the Garden Club”. Thanks to Galatoire’s for keeping the “Drunch” tradition going!
We’ve added a new page to our site: “Experience New Orleans”…
Its dedicated to all the visitors coming to New Orleans that want some locals knowledge of what to do and see. Some places you’ll know, others will be new, all are fun to check out.
We’ll be updating the page frequently, so check back regularly!

“This book is about love, friendship and the gift of girlfriends. Magnificent writing – I laughed, cried and saw myself with many of my “girls” in this book!”

Thanks to everyone who has read “Welcome to the Garden Club”, as well as put a reivew on Amazon! It’s great that everyone is so excited about the book, and it’s great to share your reviews. I just started a new page on the web site, and will post all reviews as they come on line.
I’m also working this week on several upcoming “book signings” that will be held in New Orleans, Dallas, and some other locations. I will post notices when all dates and times are finalized.
I also have the book now being sold in two book stores in New Orleans…
Acadian Books (French Quarter)
714 Orleans St.,
Garden District Book Shop
Additionally, I’m working on getting the book distributed through “I-books” the Apple online bookstore. I will put out a notice when it is available.
Thanks to everyone again, the “word of mouth” advertising has been fantastic, and it is truly appreciated.
